TAO Massage was established in 2015. We offer a wide range of massage treatments including reflexology, foot massage and full body massage — a natural and effective method for the relief of muscular and soft-tissue strain, or simply for the relaxation of body and mind.
The name carries its own philosophy. The Tao can be roughly thought of as the flow of the Universe — the natural dynamic balance between opposites, leading to its central principle of wu wei: non-action, or action without force. Every session works toward that balance. Hands on a body, pressure meeting tension, release following resistance.

The Pentridge precinct occupies the former site of HM Prison Pentridge — bluestone walls built in the 1850s, decommissioned in 1997, and carefully redeveloped into Coburg's heritage wellness-and-dining destination on Champ Street and Pentridge Boulevard. TAO Massage sits at Shop T02, ground floor, inside that storied address.
The treatment lounge itself — white cushioned recliners with TAO-branded grey blankets, diffusers on the ledge, warm timber floor — reads as the whole argument the business makes: a calm room inside a calm precinct, designed to slow you down before the therapist has said a word.
