What we do,
and how we do it

Remedial massage therapy, foot reflexology, aromatherapy, and full-body relaxation — four treatments, one purpose: restore the body's natural balance.

01

Remedial Massage Therapy

When muscles become knotted and tense or damaged, remedial massage provides a healing treatment that can be gentle or strong, deep or shallow. It holistically treats the body using several specialised techniques to locate and repair damage to muscles, tendons and joints. A lubricating medium — usually oil — is applied directly on the skin, and passive joint stretching moves are incorporated throughout.

The session works toward four measurable outcomes: stimulation of blood supply, calming of the peripheral nervous system, toning and relaxing of muscles, and improved joint mobility. Whether you are carrying injury or simply the accumulated tension of the week, the treatment is calibrated to what the body presents.

Feet Reflexology & Spa

Foot massage has been customary in China for thousands of years. Your feet carry thousands of nerve endings and acupuncture points connected to the entire body — reflexology stimulates these reflex points, relaxing and rejuvenating each and every part. The method is drawn from the meridian lines of Chinese acupuncture, bringing measured, deliberate pressure to points that echo throughout the body's systems.

Sessions take place in the Pentridge foot-reflexology lounge — a row of white cushioned recliners with TAO-branded blankets, diffusers on the ledge, a warm wood-slat room receding into calm. The treatment is as much about the room as it is the hands.

Aromatherapy Services

Aromatherapy uses aromatic plant oils — including essential oils — for psychological and physical wellbeing. Essential oils are massaged into the skin, carrying both their scent and their therapeutic properties into the body's tissues. Three signature blends guide the session toward its purpose.

Relax & Unwind

Remedial massage applied holistically — not to locate a specific complaint, but to let the body settle back to its natural state. Muscles release at their own pace. Tension that has built up across the day, across the week, across the body, is given space to lift. The approach is gentle or strong as needed, shallow or deep as the body allows.

You arrive carrying the day. You leave a little lighter. That is the whole idea — and it is the principle behind every treatment here. Keep the body balance.
